The Annunciation
I was in my room, the dark brown walls surrounding me. I was there, when the angel appeared, as the flame on my candle blew itself out. The angel spoke to me with his wings, white as the moonlight said” Greetings Mary, the favored one!” The lord is with you” I was confused and scared. I thought what sort of greeting was this?. Then the angel spoke again “Do not be afraid” for God is with you, you will have a baby called Jesus”. I pondered for a bit as the wind flowed unto my face. I took a quick nod and the angel departed.
The Visitation
There I was standing looking at Elizabeth's full of joy! She looked at me and as I was about to step forward, the sand dust on my feet tickled me. My heart pounded and the baby in my womb jumped as if he is a joyful angel. She smiled at me as the hay wooshed past me. The Next thing I knew was a soft hug from Elizabeth. She said “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb”. For a moment there I felt the presence of Elizabeth’s womb, and we smiled.
The Nativity
In the manger, under the stable my baby boy lies down on the soft hay that is as brown as his beautiful skin. His face gives a little gentle smile as I hear the soft breeze
whistling. As the animals sing their little tune, I was in the presence of the Lord.My heart is full of joy and as I look out the window and see the starts shining in the night sky. Joseph smiles, and I smile too.
The Presentation
We were there at the temple and I saw a man called Simeon. As he was about to hold the baby Jesus in his hands, I saw 3 wise men at the back of Simeon. There holds 3 chests that were as lovely as the flowers. The baby smiled and giggled as the chests open. The Gold rich one was finding its way into the open to see the baby Jesus. I felt if he was a very special person. The silver metal one was as grey as the moon light. The last chest with myr was brown as if he was related to Jesus’ beautiful skin.
The finding of Jesus
The panic in my heart stopped when I saw Jesus preaching in the temple. The look of the Rabbi's faces were focused on my son.
The wind slowed down as I said “ Jesus! Why are you treating us like that? We have been looking for you”.
Jesus replied as if time stood still.
He said “ Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know I had to stay in my father's house?”
My heart surged as I was overcome with the knowledge that Jesus was the Son of God.
